Vedic Sciences in Mahabharata - A Publication
June 30 2012, Bangalore, India.

This is a book published by Vedavyasa Bharati Trust, written by Sri G.S. Raju, its Managing Trustee and also Vice-President, USCEFI. The book contains about 84 topics which find references to Vedic Scientific aspects in the Great Epic, Mahabharata. There are 12 Annexure which elaborates some of the experiences of scientific events in modern times, which has parallel in the Epic Mahabharata.

The Author has humbly recorded that this book has covered on a small area of work, which is more of compilation than intensified research. Some claims such as the invention of first aircraft in India, which took place in 1895, eight years prior to the demonstration by A. Wright was startling. But there is no way to get this into the records of Inventions and further into the text books of History.

The Astra's have received a vivid account of their names, constituents, effects, importance of weaponry, launching and recall aspects. Similarly, accounts of Vimana's or Aeroplanes as mentioned in Mahabharata did find due place including some recent developments included in the Annexure.

Significant contributions that can be seen in this book is inclusion of the original slokas by Vedavyasa Maharishi as written in Sanskrit with Romanized script style of reading and with its meaning below individual slokas.

This book has been released by Smt. Rani Samyuktha, enduringly called 'Amma Garu'.

This book is priced modestly at:

Paper Back Edition: Rs. 240, Library Edition: Rs. 300 and Outside India: US $ 10

It is generally noted that serious researchers can find this book very useful as an elaborate attempt has been made by the author to include as many scientific references as possible.

A Research Book on Chatrapati Shivaji!
    April 2007, Hyderabad, AP, India.

A rare biography on Chatrapati Shivaji which has enumerated many facts of Shivajis life from authentic records in archives and old Records is now available. The spiritual aspects of Shivajis life as depicted and illustrated in this book are not commonly known to many in contemporary India and not even to many biographers on Shivaji! Shivaji visiting Srisailam, his South India tours and expeditions, his rare and historic visit to Hyderabad and the tumultuous welcome by Nizam of Hyderabad to him as a King are unparalleled in History of India. Aurangazeb, the Moghul Emperor camped in Tirumala the holy Hindu Pilgrim center. Then what followed was a miracle of Miracles! A rare and incredible event happened. There was a chance meet of Aurangazeb, the Moghul Emperor, with Balaji, the Lord of Tirupati. There is a graphic description given in this book as to what happened there and how the act of Balajis chastising the Moghul Emperor followed the meet. The resultant return of the Moghul Emperor back to Delhi, cutting short his plans to conquer the adjoining ares, to loot and plunder Tirupati Temple Treasures and to go further south are part of history.

Historians in India, in general, obediently follow the accounts of the British historians and do not even take pains to study or research in to the many archives and old documents available for fear of criticism and patronage from the Scholars of Indian Studies from the West, which trend is termed as mental slavery in Independent India. Such a trend is more intense if the historic events have bearing on religious and spiritual matters. In this context, the focus and direction of historicity and the spiritual impact, not undermining the patriotic fervor, of this book is enormous and further this work can be a torch-bearer for further research in to genuine history of India without any bias and prejudices.

The book provides more than 80 references and bibliographical literature for a future researcher for study on similar themes.
