Guruji Dr.Vedavyas Birthday Celebrations 2009

Aug 13th, 2009, Suraram, Hyderabad, India.

The birthday celebrations were conducted on13th August in the newly build convention center in Suraram, Shirdi Sai complex of USCEFI. The temple environs have been made very attractive for devotees to spend more time with their prayers and during the Aarati times (4 times every day as in Shirdi) by providing additional amenities and space for seating etc.

The newly build convention center has been made available for the Birthday celebrations, Dr. Prof. Sri CVG Subramanium of Telugu University delivered a very interesting lecture on Astrological Applications, and he also spoke on Guru Tatva. Prominent guests such as Shri Nukala Chinna Satya Narayana, who has been a great exponent of Classical Carnatic Music for over five decades, graced the occasion.

Pujya Amma garu, Smt. Rani Samyukta Vyas, delivered her message on this occasion and blessed the devotees and disciples of Pujya Guruji, Dr.Vedavyas IAS, Ph.D., D.Litt and all other participants.

Sri MVS Prasad, president USCEFI, spoke about his association with Sri Guruji and a few topics from his book, “The Saint of the space age – Dr Vedavyas”.

In the second part of the celebration, two prominent vocal classical Carnatic music singers, the Malladi brothers sang devotional songs and gave a concert with various Kirtanas from Tyagaraja and others.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami was also celebrated on the day and Dr. E. Srinivas (professor XLRI) spoke about the great similarities of Maharshi Vedavyasa and Sri Guruji Dr. Vedavyas IAS, Ph.D., D.Litt, especially in the two aspects of delivering Vast spiritual literature as Vyasa and Living with great love for humanity as lord Sri Krishna. He thus highlighted both the aspects of Vedavyasa Maharshi and Lord Sri Krishna to the present in Pujya Sri Guruji.

Sri E. Dattareya spoke briefly about the importance of Guru Tatva, the all encompassing love of Guru which we experienced in Pujya Sri Vedavyas Guruji, he cited the example of the presence of two contradictory (opposing) devotees in the form of Adi shesha and Garuda whose natures are different but Lord Vishnu kept them together.

Vyasa Poornmia (Guru Poornima) Celebrations – Invitation – Bangalore

Ashada Shuddha Poorinama (July 18th), popularly known as Vyasa Poornima or Guru Poornima will be celebrated by Yogamitra Mandali at Vyasa Maharshi temple in Bangalore. Sri Rama Navami celebrations at Sri Abhaya Veeranjaneya Temple

Pujya Sri Guruji Dr.Vedavyas IAS, Ph.D., D.Litt has established and performed Prana Pratishta of Sri Abhaya Veeraanjaneya Swamy in Tanuku about 5 years back in 2003.

We are glad to inform that the Pratistapana Mahotsava of Shikhara and Kumbhaabhisheka of Sri Abhaya Veeraanjaneya Swamy Temple in Tanuku of West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India, will be performed during Sri Rama Navami Celebrations during 12th to 14th April 2008. The Shikhara Pratisthapana programs will be conducted by Vaighanasa Ritviks as per Vaighanasa Agama Rules.

Panchanga Rahasyalu – A new Book released

Panchanga Rahasyalu a book in telugu, authored by Pujya Sri Guruji Dr. Vedavyas IAS, Ph.D., D.Litt was released during the Narayana Yagnam, in January of 2008.

The Book describes the importance of Tithi, Vara, Nakshatra, Karana and Yoga which are the five essential elements of Panchanga. It also describes, the application part for use in common mans life. The linkage of Panchanga calculations to the astronomical bodies, commonly referred as celestial bodies, and the associated astrological significance is explained. This book is very useful for fixing Muhurtas in a judicious way. A common man can learn a lot about the Hindu system of Panchamgam. And, without the need of any great expertise can learn to use the data in the day to day life.

New Governing Body for USCEFI elected

Nov 2007, Hyderabad, AP, India.

A new governing body has been elected for USCEFI (United Social Cultural Foundation of India), the parent organization for all the activities initiated by Guruji Dr. E. Vedavyas IAS, IAS, Ph.D., D.Litt. Sri MVS Prasad has been chosen as President and Sri G.S. Raju has been chosen as Vice President.

Sri MVS Prasad , IRS- retired Central Excise Chief Commissioner & Chairman Settlement Commission – was requested by Family members of Sri Guruji to take up the responsibility of the President of USCEFI. Upon this proposal, all the attending members of the meeting unanimously agreed upon the candidature. Sri MVS Prasad accepted to take upon this responsibility.

Sri G.S. Raju - retired Deputy Director General, Department of Telecom (South) – was requested to take up the Vice President post for USCEFI. Guruji’s son Dr. E. Sheshadri Srinivas proposed his name and all the attending members unanimously agreed upon the candidature. Sri G.S.Raju has also accepted to take upon this responsibility.
